The exhibit opens with a public reception on Saturday, February 22, from 6 – 8 pm. Entertainment is provided by Zack & Valter (Zack Wolfe and Valter de Silva). “The Nakedness of the Subject” is on display through Friday, March 21.

Bets Cole, from Elmira, works in acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, pen, and pencil, using the quality of each of these mediums to capture the unique spirit of her human subject. Marsha Maverick Wells, from Eugene, displays figure drawings in pastel and conté crayon created in Maude Kerns Art Center’s Open Studios. Sculptor Anna Lee-Hoelzle of Cottage Grove sculpts from life. Through careful observation she expresses her appreciation for the complexity and diversity of human beauty.
